Abram Cerda is a filmmaker and videographer with experience that includes supporting producers at Paramount Pictures and Lionsgate TV, shooting for the UCLA Newsroom, directing/producing 2 feature films, 8 episodes of TV, and award-winning short films that’ve screened all over the world. He received his BA in film, television and digital media production from the UCLA School of Theater, Film & Television in Los Angeles, as well as his Master’s in audiovisual arts from the LUCA School of Arts in Brussels, Belgium. He is a cat-dad to two siamese boys, and loves collecting new indoor plants.

Most recently being recognized as a finalist for Netflix’s New Voices Grant for LGBTQ+ Directors, Abram is excited to begin a long-aspired career as an educator here at ACC, while continuing to produce new work in the fields of film and video. While Abram’s own audiovisual work often centers strong & authentic LGBTQ+ and BIPOC characters – he has shot, edited and produced films/videos varying widely across genres, languages, topics, formats, countries, etc.
