Whether you are a seasoned pro or have never touched an editing program, this course is designed to train students in the analytical and technical skills of video editing. Through a hands on, practicum-driven workload, students will finish the course with the ability to take a project through each aspect of the editing process, including transcoding, scene assembly, fine cutting, sound design, and color correction. In addition, through class discussions and lectures, participants will gain a greater theoretical understanding of the history and aesthetics of film & video editing as a storytelling medium.
