Educational Background:
I hold a B.A. degree in English from Wellesley College, Wellesley, Massachusetts, an M.S. degree in Remedial Reading from Russell Sage College in Troy, New York, and a M.A. degree in Teaching English from Cornell University in Ithaca, NY.
Field Experience:
In 1998, I was named English Teacher of the Year by the Texas Council of Teachers of English. I have published a dozen articles on teaching reading and writing in state, national, and international journals. I am a retired secondary English teacher having taught in a large suburban high school in central Texas for 30 years.
With my family, I have visited almost all of America’s national parks from Acadia’s rugged seacoast to the soaring red rock canyons of Bryce to the towering redwoods of Sequoia National Park.
