Education Background:

I hold an M.A. in English, Rhetoric and Composition from Texas State University, an M.A. in American Studies from the University of Texas at Austin and a B.J. in, Journalism from the University of Texas at Austin.

 

Field Experience:

I worked as a course designer for LE300 “Terrorism and the Media: An Uneasy Relationship,” at Park University Distance Learning. I have written blog articles for shopperti.com as well as features and other editorial for McCall’s magazine, Library of Congress Civilization, American Way (American Airlines), American News Service, Houston Chronicle, Austin Chronicle, Dallas Morning News and The Advocate. I served as an Associate Editor for Texas Medicine Magazine, (Texas Medical Association) and a Staff Arts and Entertainment and Features Writer and Columnist, Austin American-Statesman newspaper.

 

Something Fun About Me:

In my spare time, I take barre classes and work on my memoir as a teenaged runaway in Houston’s Montrose area. I am a devoted dog mom.
