Years with ACC: 19 years

Courses Taught:

ETWR 1376: Grant Proposal and Business Plans

Educational Background:

I hold a BA in English Language and Literature from Yale University and a JD from Catholic University.

Field Experience:

After practicing health and employment law for several years, I moved into continuing education for attorneys at the State Bar and started to serve on various nonprofit boards of directors. As a board member, I fell in love with nonprofit management and grant writing, eventually landing at ACC as a grant writer. Building on relationships from that work, I then worked as the director of a nonprofit focused on the healthcare workforce and ran all aspects of that organization for fifteen years.

Something Fun About Me:

I am a serial hobbyist who enjoys working with my hands. I have completed courses in fused glass, upholstery, web design, floral design, cooking, and most recently, ceramics. Meeting people from all parts of our community makes the classes fun. I feel that staying in the role of student helps me improve my teaching.
