Years with ACC: I’ve taught English and Technical and Business Writing for ACC since 2005.

 

Education:

I graduated Summa Cum Laude from The University of Houston with a major in English and a minor in Philosophy. I then attended Bennington College in Bennington, Vermont, where I received my M.F.A. in Literature and Creative Writing.

 

Experience:

Before I became a professor, I worked for Ogilvy & Mather Advertising Agency in Houston, Texas where I interviewed, designed, and wrote articles for Texaco and Shell’s monthly Magazine.

 

Something Fun:

In addition to my teaching career, I write fiction. I’ve had numerous stories published and awarded in literary magazines in the U.S. and Europe. I’m in the process of finishing a collection of short stories.
