Jill Thrasher received a BFA and an MFA from The University of Texas at Austin, and has worked as a sandwich maker, a sign maker, and a tax examiner. Since 2000, she has taught at Austin Community College; she also teaches studio art classes at St. Edward’s University. Her work has been exhibited at the Austin Museum of Art (AMOA) and galleries in the Austin area. For example, she has been invited to have several solo exhibitions at Slugfest Printmaking Workshop & Gallery, where she has been a member for 20 years. Thrasher attends a weekly life-drawing session with colleagues, and is inclined to draw whatever four-legged creatures wander into the picture.
