Oscar Garcia-Landois is an adjunct professor at the Austin Community College in the Department of Music, teaching Music Appreciation and American Music, and in the Department of Foreign Languages teaching Spanish.  He graduated from the University of Texas with a Ph.D. in Musicology and has transcribed, studied and done research of colonial music in Mexico and Guatemala during the 18^th century. He has played viola, in different orchestras in West and Central Texas, as well as viola and piano in diverse musical groups and ensembles.
