Jay NohDr. Jugwon “Jay” Noh currently serves as an adjunct faculty member at Austin Community College. He earned his Bachelor of Music degree from Chung-Ang University in South Korea, where he studied with Prof. Hyekyoung Lee. He completed his Master of Music and Doctoral of Musical Arts degrees in Piano Performance at the University of Texas at Austin under the tutelage of Prof. Gregory Allen.

Dr. Noh has won prizes in various music competitions including the first prize both in the Haneum Music Competition and The Music Association of Korea Competition, the second prize both in The Piano Duo Association of Korea Competition and The Czerny Association of Korea Competition. He was invited to participate and perform at the Clear Creek Music Festival in Oregon and has participated in numerous masterclasses given by internationally renowned musicians. He is also a founding member of the Amicus Piano Duo, known for their diverse classical music performances. The ensemble aims to celebrate the diversity of classical music and inspire audiences with their concert series.

A passionate educator, Dr. Noh concluded a successful lecture recital at the Butler School of Music and his proposals also have been selected as presentations for many regional, national, and international conferences. Recent presentations include appearances at the TMTA Convention, MTNA Collegiate Symposium, and the College Music Society Conference. He also received the Excellence in Teaching Award at the Carmel Arts International Competition in 2022 and 2023.

Dr. Noh is an active member of the Music Teacher National Association, Texas Music Teacher Association, and Austin District Music Teacher Association and he has been invited to judge the TMTA All-Star Festival and Baroque/Classical Festival and served as a faculty member at the Austin Chamber Music Workshop.
