Jillian Brackett is a soprano and music educator dedicated to developing healthy, sustainable vocal technique, confident artistry, and strong musicianship. She holds a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from Texas State University and a Bachelor of Music from East Texas Baptist University. Her performance experience includes opera, art song, jazz, musical theatre, pop, and worship music.

Brackett’s international performance experience includes performing opera scenes and art songs in Austria through Salzburg College’s Music Summer program. In 2019, she participated in the InterHarmony International Music Festival in Germany, where she performed the role of Lauretta in Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi.

As an educator, Brackett is committed to student-centered instruction that emphasizes healthy vocal technique, musical interpretation, performance skills, and artistic independence. She strives to meet students where they are while encouraging them to develop their individual voices, confidence, and lifelong musicianship.

Brackett serves as an Adjunct Voice Professor at Austin Community College and as a Teaching Artist with ZACH Theatre and ZACH Academy. She is passionate about creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment where students are challenged to grow while receiving instruction tailored to their individual goals.

She is honored to bring her experience as an educator to Austin Community College and to mentor the next generation of singers as they pursue their academic, artistic, and professional aspirations.
