Rachel Atkinson, MFA

Adjunct Assistant Professor

Rachel Atkinson, Adjunct Assistant Professor, holds an MFA in Theatre Design from The University of Texas at Austin. She has designed for theatres in Washington, Colorado, New York, and across Texas and in 2018 won the Austin Critics Table Award in honor of excellence in lighting design.
She has a particular focus on designing theatre for young audiences, immersive design, and design for devised theatre. For Austin Community College she teaches courses in lighting and scenic design and technology, as well as designing lighting or scenery for departmental productions.
