Evangelos D. Voutsinas M.A., Ph.D., Professor of Drama, is a native of Athens, Greece and served in the Greek army as Special Forces. After studying philosophy of theater at the University of Hamburg, he received his degree from the University of Cologne. He continued his studies for a year at the University of Stockholm under film director Ingmar Bergman. He received a Bachelor and Master of Arts degree from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. Dr. Voutsinas received his Doctor of Philosophy from Florida State University with a major in theater.

Dr. Voutsinas has acted in such productions as Macbeth, Vasco, Twelfth Night, Marat/Sade, and The Girl of the Golden West. He has directed many plays by American and International playwrights as well many children plays. Dr. Voutsinas has also translated three Greek plays to English by Greek playwright Stratis Karras.
