Elizabeth Bernhardt is a native Austinite. She graduated from Bowie High School, earned a BA in Speech Communication from Texas A&M University, and an MFA in Theatre (Acting) from The University of Alabama. She has performed around Austin as well as nationally and internationally. She is currently teaching Introduction to Theatre at ACC. At The University of Alabama, she taught Acting I, Beginning Acting, and Introduction to Theatre. At SIAS University in China, she taught English Through Films, Public Speaking, Cross-Cultural Communication, and English as a Second Language. Her book, The Power of Pretend: An Actor's Struggle to Unite Faith & Work, will be published in spring 2020 by Sword & Swan Media House.
