Cassie Nordgren (she/her) is a director, choreographer, intimacy choreographer, and educator who specializes in musical theatre, physical storytelling and dance. She received a B.S. in Theatre for Social Change from CUNY, and an M.F.A. in Directing from Baylor University. Her research interests include the application of trauma-informed, consent-based approaches in the theatre industry and educational settings. Prior to moving to Texas, Cassie spent over a decade in NYC working as an artist in NYC. Favorite credits include On The Town (Bway/ SDCF Observer), BC Beat, Sierra Repertory Theatre, Center Repertory Theatre, the New York New Works Festival, and the Danza Highbridge Festival for which she served as the Artistic Director. Cassie is a two-time finalist for the Capezio ACE Awards for Choreographic Excellence and was the recipient of the Danza Debuts commission for The Last Bite, an original dance theatre piece she conceived, choreographed, and directed at the United Palace in Washington Heights.  As a “city girl,” she is happy to be working with the students at ACC! www.cassienordgren.com
