{"id":111,"date":"2016-05-20T02:33:22","date_gmt":"2016-05-20T02:33:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost\/viscom\/?p=111"},"modified":"2016-05-20T02:33:22","modified_gmt":"2016-05-20T02:33:22","slug":"design-coder","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/admc.austincc.edu\/viscom\/2016\/05\/20\/design-coder\/","title":{"rendered":"Spring Showcase"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">A viewing and reception featuring the work of Visual Communication graduates was held May 13th at ACC\u2019s <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.austincc.edu\/locations\/campuses\/highland-campus\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Highland Campus.<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Professor <\/span><b>Russell Toynes<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> presented Graphic Design graduates and Professor <\/span><b>Davis Correa<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> showcased students in the User Experience Design program.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Industry professionals, fellow students, faculty, family and friends were invited to meet the portfolio students and celebrate their accomplishments.<\/p>\n<p>David Correa has guided students during his Portfolio Development class and describes the workforce his students are entering,<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201c<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">After exposure to UX, visual design, and coding, these students are becoming true hybrids. They\u2019ll be taking their design skills into an industry filled with emerging technologies and form factors.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Most of the students hope to enter the job market soon after graduation, while some may be planning on a few more classes, either at ACC or a four-year school.
