The goal of this project is to create opportunities for ACC students to learn about art installation, exhibition design, and ways to contextualize and present displayed objects. The “ACC Community Art Show, 2025” features 70 artworks by ACC students, faculty, and staff across the Austin Community College District. Artists were invited to submit up to two artworks, all artists who submitted artworks have one of their artworks included in the exhibition.<\/p>\n

The exhibition was organized by TAG staff and\u00a0held in <\/span>TAG Art Lab (Building 4000, ACC Highland Campus).<\/span><\/p>\n<\/section>\n

Art and Healing: My PTSD Experience<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n

This open call asks artists to reflect on <\/span>Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder <\/span>(PTSD) and trauma through a lens of <\/span>connection and hope.<\/span><\/p>\n

Experiencing trauma and PTSD can be isolating. However, <\/span>art-making can help us connect with others through our experiences and foster empathy and respect. <\/span>All veterans, military families, current students, staff and faculty of Austin Community College are welcome to submit.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

This exhibition is juried by Austin-based artist<\/span> Brian Joseph<\/span> and will be held in <\/span>TAG Art Lab (Building 4000, ACC Highland Campus).<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

The Center for Peace & Conflict Studies in conjunction with The Art Galleries (TAG) at ACC invited artists from our ACC community to submit artwork for the 10th Annual Spring Symposium entitled,\u00a0<\/span>What\u2019s Peace Got to Do With It: Transforming Conflicts in Your Relationship, Career, and Community<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

This open call asked artists to envision what peace and conflict transformation mean to their relationships, career, and\/or local to global community. This exhibition is on display in TAG Art Lab, located in the lower level of Building 4000.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This pop-up ACC student exhibition in Art Lab is a contribution to the\u00a0<\/span>Center for Peace & Conflict Studies Annual Spring Symposium<\/a>\u00a0taking place on Friday, April 14.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The theme of the symposium and exhibition is: \u201cClimate Science, Climate Justice: Personal and Civic Action.\u201d\u00a0This project aims to highlight the urgent need for organized, interdisciplinary, and multilateral collective action to address the existential threat of climate change and global warming.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
