Complete proposals will be reviewed by TAG curatorial staff and a yearly exhibition committee formed by the ACC Art Department faculty and staff.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nApplicants will be notified with questions and status of the proposal by late March 2026.\u00a0<\/p>\n

This written narrative is a <\/span>conceptual abstract<\/b> (300 word limit) that describes the premise and objectives of the proposed exhibition, including concepts and themes explored, cultural and\/or academic significance, and how the exhibition connects to the educational goals and mission of TAG. Additionally, we ask that applicants include how the exhibition will contribute to student success at ACC and cultivate a culture of belonging. All exhibitions will be co-curated with TAG staff and adhere to the values of the college.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nThe exhibition proposal will need to include a<\/span> working title, information on the featured artist(s), and a description of the artist(s) artworks in relation to the exhibition’s narrative<\/b>. Additionally, applicants will need to include an <\/span>exhibition timeline, plan for installation and design<\/b> (including general ideas for wall texts and signage), and<\/span> needed materials and fabrication<\/b> (such as pedestals, temporary walls, projectors, screens, media players, sound projection, specialized lighting, and other materials). This part of the proposal should also include a <\/span>plan for transportation of artworks and any additional preparation<\/b> required for artworks such as framing and special tools for mounting. TAG staff will install artworks, with assistance from featured artists as appropriate.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nIn addition to the exhibition proposed timeline, applicants will need to include a <\/span>plan of work<\/b>, indicating who will lead\/curate the exhibition and roles for managing the exhibition project. TAG will partner with curator(s) and\/or artist(s) to execute all parts of the exhibition, including curatorial work, installation and exhibition design, and outreach and educational programming efforts. Include ways in which you and\/or the artist(s) in the exhibition will collaborate with TAG to work on the exhibition.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nApplicants are encouraged to <\/span>propose ideas for events and educational programming<\/b> (such as exhibition opening reception, in-gallery artists talks, panel discussions, workshops, etc.) that will accompany the exhibition and further engage with audiences. Also include any additional thoughts for gallery publications and related resources you would like available during the exhibition run (such as brochures, catalogs, online resources, videos, etc.).\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nIf applicable, include a <\/span>proposed exhibition budget and any additional plans to secure funding<\/b> through grants and special donations. Loan agreements with major institutions may be limited in scope due to funding and facilities requirements. Funds for shipping artworks will need to be included in this budget. Applicants are required to <\/span>submit high quality images of artworks<\/b> (or representations of proposed installations or incomplete artworks) and a <\/span>preliminary object list which includes basic artwork information: artist name; artwork title; date completed; media; and dimensions. <\/b>The object list may include samples, mock ups or representations for proposed installations, murals, or incomplete artworks. Applicants can also provide information for artworks that require special care and\/or mounting equipment if applicable. This list can be a document (pdf or doc.x) or as a powerpoint.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nImage files must be in jpeg format. 300 dpi is preferred.
