Ash\u2019s postdoctoral research has focused on how marginalized media-makers navigate and influence shifting media industries, contributing several peer-reviewed articles and book chapters to the field. One of Ash\u2019s greatest passions is teaching, especially the opportunity to foster critical dialogue about how media impacts students\u2019 lived experiences and their own agency as media consumers and creators. Over the past several years, Ash has taught courses on Cinema Studies, the History and Development of Media, Public Speaking and a variety of special topics in Critical Media Studies.
