He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Lamar University, studying with Jammieca D. Mott, and a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from The University of Alabama under the instruction of David Tayloe.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">His operatic credits include Oronte in\u00a0<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Alcina<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, Camille Raquin in the Alabama premiere of Tobias Picker\u2019s\u00a0<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Th\u00e9r\u00e8se Raquin<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, Marco in\u00a0<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Gondoliers<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and Rinuccio in\u00a0<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Gianni Schicchi<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0with The University of Alabama Opera Theatre. He has also appeared as Le Remendado in\u00a0<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Carmen<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0with Music on Site, Inc., covered Arturo in\u00a0<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lucia di Lammermoor<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0with Druid City Opera, and performed the title role in\u00a0<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Les Contes d\u2019Hoffmann<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0with Ars Nova School of the Arts. Additional credits include Eddie Pensier in John Davies\u2019\u00a0<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Bremen Town Musicians<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0with Mobile Opera and roles in Cedar Rapids Opera\u2019s outreach production of Dave Ragland\u2019s\u00a0<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Charlie and the Wolf<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, as Mozart, and their mainstage production of\u00a0<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tosca<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recently, Vazquez appeared as Alfredo Germont in\u00a0<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La traviata<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0and Judge Danforth in\u00a0<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Crucible<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0as an Emerging Artist with Opera in the Ozarks. In addition to his operatic work, he has been featured as a soloist in major concert and oratorio repertoire, including Handel\u2019s\u00a0<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Messiah<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, Mozart\u2019s\u00a0<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Requiem<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and Beethoven\u2019s\u00a0<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Choral Fantasy<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, among others.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This season, he makes his debut with Opera San Antonio as an outreach artist in their collaborative production with the Magik Theatre of John Davies\u2019 children\u2019s opera <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pinocchio<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.
