He was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Chicago and a visiting assistant professor at the University of Texas at Austin, and his work on Clara Schumann&#8217;s improvisation and composition is published in the Oxford Handbook of Musical Variation edited by Jeffrey Swinkin.
