We are unable to accept non-majors into our program, however we encourage non-majors to participate in our various ensembles.<\/p>\n"},{"title":"What does full-time or part-time student mean?","description":"<p>Students who take 12 hours or more are considered full time. Any less than that is<br \/>\nconsidered part time. 12-15 hours is a normal full time load. Students can actually take<br \/>\nup to 18 hours in a semester, but that is highly discouraged because of the huge amount<br \/>\nof work it entails.<\/p>\n"},{"title":"If I am part-time and only take two classes per semester can I still graduate in two years?","description":"<p>It would be impossible for a student to be part time and graduate in 2 years. A degree is<br \/>\n60 hours, which equals 15 hours per semester. Some classes (like ensembles) are only<br \/>\none credit hour, yet take 4 hours a week, plus practice time. Music is a difficult skill to<br \/>\naccomplish. You aren\u2019t just learning information like you do in most classes. You are<br \/>\nusing information you learn to develop a skill, which takes time.<\/p>\n"},{"title":"Is it normal to be taking 8-9 classes per semester?","description":"<p>In Music, yes, it is very normal. Since many classes are 1-2 credit hours, it appears you<br \/>\nhave a lot of classes.
