He earned a Bachelor of Music from the University of Texas at Austin and worked in a variety of roles in public education before beginning his work at ACC. Paul is currently a professor and Department Chair for the Audio Technology &amp; Industry department, where he is dedicated to training and preparing the next generation of musicians, engineers, and business people for work in the industry. As a recording engineer, Paul recorded countless bands from the Austin underground scene through his work at Sweatbox Studio, and continues to work, produce, and mix a variety of projects on his own. He has also played in several local bands including his current project March and Beauty, as well as ongoing collaborations with Barry Stone (Porchswing Orchestra). While her roots are in classical music, she<br \/> has worked professionally in the commercial music industry for over a decade, and has toured with her band internationally, recorded in professional studios across the country,<br \/> received album distribution with record label support in the U.S., U.K., and Japan, and has been featured in numerous esteemed publications.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to her personal experience navigating the music industry, Christina\u2019s formal<br \/> education includes a B.A. in Psychology, A.A. in Music Performance, and M.A. in Music Business. She is able to bridge a connection between her learned experience and instructional knowledge, bringing a unique, hands-on perspective to her teaching and<br \/> mentorship. Christina\u2019s teaching style emphasizes creativity and the development of each student\u2019s individual voice. Since then, he has been active in the Austin music community as an engineer\/producer and member of several bands. She also enjoys photographing and recording departmental events, capturing the vibrant energy of the college\u2019s creative community.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">A proud third-generation East Austinite, Kayla is deeply rooted in her community. Inspired by\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">her mother\u2019s example of service, she began volunteering at a young age and has spent over 15\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">years supporting youth and families through Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Her commitment to community also extends to her work with On-Point Reentry Consortium and other local organizations that serve justice-impacted individuals and their families.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In addition to her administrative career, Kayla is the owner of a family-run apparel business s<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">pecializing in custom merchandise and LIVE screen printing, proudly operating for more than\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">20 years. He earned his degree in<br \/>Music from the College of San Mateo, California in 2007.<\/p>\n<p>Relocating to Austin, Texas in 2009 he received his degree in Audio Engineering from Austin<br \/>Community College in 2016 and has worked in audio primarily in live sound for the last 10 years. Conor has been teaching at Austin Community College since 2021. Being mostly self-taught he learned independence and creativity as it<br \/>applied to music which eventually motivated him to buy his first audio interface and begin<br \/>writing\/recording songs. With no experience and nothing but the drive to make things \u201csound<br \/>cool\u201d he began recording his music as well as his friend\u2019s music. The newfound passion<br \/>eventually brought him to Austin back in 2011 where he began studying audio production at the<br \/>Art Institute of Austin. Houser\u2019s contributions have never been singular. L. Houser. Her new record, Hibiscus, was re-released on vinyl in 2024 in partnership with<br \/> Spaceflight Records and Try Hard Coffee. S. L. Houser was the KUTX January Artist of the Month in 2024 and was nominated for Musician of the Year in the Austin Chronicle\u2019s Austin Music Awards (2024, 2025). Houser is a producer, arranger and music educator. I have experience as a Musical Theatre Pit Guitarist for shows like Mamma Mia, Seussical, and Rock of Ages. I have performed across the country in a diverse range of genres with varying instrumentation. When I\u2019m not on stage or in the pit I do studio work as a sessions guitarist. I have experience recording for contemporary artists as well as with an orchestra in the studio for film scoring projects.
