Erin Keever is a native Austinite, working as an Adjunct Professor of Art History, freelance writer, and art appraiser. She teaches Art History I, Art History II, and Art Appreciation at Austin Community College, where she served on ACC\u2019s Exhibition Committee and curated In the Public Eye: New Work by Nathan \u201cSLOKE\u201d Nordstrom (2017). Her college-level lecture experience includes teaching the upper-division courses, Issues in Contemporary Art and the History of Modern Art at Texas State University. Erin managed public relations and exhibitions at Arthouse (now The Contemporary Austin) where she curated the exhibition Going West and co-curated Inside the Display: The Digital Face of Interactive Art (2005). Prior to this, she was a paid graduate intern at the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York. She was a member of the Austin Critics Circle, freelanced for the Austin American-Statesman for 10 years, and was on the Editorial Board of Aether online magazine. She has authored several exhibition catalogs and contributed to several books, including Artistic Triumph Amid Darkness: The Creative Odyssey of Nancy Renfro, 1937-1993 (2016), and World Architecture and Society: From Stonehenge to One World Trade Center (2021). Currently Erin serves on the board of Sightlines magazine, where her articles are regularly featured. She is also a candidate for full membership in the International Society of Appraisers and performs fine art appraisals in her spare time.
