Terri Goodhue is a professor of printmaking at ACC. Since 1999, she has taught a printmaking survey course that introduces students to lithography, relief printing, and intaglio techniques. As head of the printmaking section, Terri has guided the growth of the program from its beloved origins in the basement of ACC\u2019s historic Rio Grande Campus to its current expanded location at Highland Campus; during this transition, she introduced new processes and equipment, such as screen printing, to enrich students\u2019 art-making options. From 2000-2020, Terri helped organize and run the popular yearly Steamroller printmaking event on The University of Texas at Austin campus. Benefiting from her mentorship, students in her courses frequently return semester after semester. Before joining the ACC faculty, Terri worked as a Master Printer at Flatbed Press, during which time she collaborated with artists including John Alexander, Leonard Lehrer, and Michael Ray Charles to produce limited-edition lithographs for exhibit and publication. She is also an interior designer, working with select commercial clients. Her own work draws inspiration from the Color Field<\/a> painters, the mechanics of Color Theory, genetics, and the biological realm. She works predominantly in monotype and lithography, and the incorporation of both painting and printmaking allows her to create unique, vibrant, layered works on paper.<\/p>\n
