Her ceramic works, which includes architectural ceramics, can be seen on buildings and in public places across the United States and in Europe. Her work is multimodal as she utilizes different ceramic processes such as drawing on tilework, and hand-building and wheel-throwing techniques. In her work for public and private entities, Karen has developed an approach to large installation pieces that incorporates participant engagement in the conception, framing, and realization stages of the project. She has taught at Austin Community College for over ten years as well as Texas State University, Austin Waldorf School, and St. Andrews Upper School.

Courses Taught
ARTS 2346 Ceramics I
ARTS 2347 Ceramics II

Adjunct Assistant Professor

Website: www.karenbolton.com
<!– Phone: (512) 223-3038 –>
Email: kbolton@austincc.edu

Karen Bolton is a 3D artist and art instructor.
